2008 World Sprints at Lake Natoma (near Sacramento, CA)
DEADLINE FOR INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IS DECEMBER 31, 2007. A non-refundable $30.00 check or money order made out to SCORA MUST be sent to Lori for each paddler and MUST be postmarked no later than December 31, 2007.
From August 1, 2008 through August 9, 2008, California will host the 13th International Va'a (Outrigger Canoe) World Championship at Lake Natoma near Sacramento.
Kupa'a Mau members who are interested in racing in this world class event should contact Coach Charlie to let him know of your interest and to ask him to please contact SCORA's IVF Representative, Lori Kitahata.
California crews have a limited number of lanes available to them for racing. If more crews sign up and pay their deposits than there are lanes for, SCORA will organize time trials during the summer.
If you plan to compete in OC1 divisions, start practicing your rudderless skills, because there is no rudder-full racing at this competition.
Event volunteers are need too. So if you're interested in helping out, please get in touch with Lori.
Competitors and volunteers must be available for the duration of the event.
